While he was there, he worked closely with farmers and growers to improve their efficiency and profitability. After a few years in Florida, Helson accepted an opportunity to move back home and become the Vice President of Sales for BASF Corporation’s agricultural business unit.

Helson was born in Los Angeles County to parents who were both professional dancers on Broadway before he was born. His father still teaches dance at his old school, the American Dance Festival in New York City (he’s now retired). The family moved around quite a bit during Baxter’s childhood—they lived in New York City for about three years before relocating back down south after Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana.
Then they moved again when Baxter was eight years old to live with his grandmother while his mother attended college at Harvard University; then they returned to California where they stayed until 2010 when they relocated again this time permanently moving into an apartment complex just outside of Hollywood Hills neighborhood not far from where Helson grew up during high school days attending St Mary’s Academy (a Catholic private academy) located within walking distance from his house but farther away than any other public school yet still close enough so that he could walk back home every day after class ended at 3pm sharp!
